I have to admit that Glenn and I felt the pressure on this one. Both Gina and Todd are artists so we knew that they will be looking at the images with a critical eye. We were introduced last summer by a previous client, who happens to be a wedding planner (no added pressure there). So we knew that we had to really “bring it” on this one. They choose a spectacular setting for their reception – The Waterview in Monroe, Connecticut. As the name suggests the hall sits right on the waterfront with fantastic panoramic views. I think Glenn and I got off easy because we had a beautiful day, great subjects, stellar backdrop and lets be honest, it is much less difficult to make a photograph than it is to paint a Rembrandt. Never-the-less I think we delivered, lets just hope that Gina and Todd agree.
We have been offering digital albums produced on the iPad for awhile now, but with the release of the new iPad 2 we decided to raise the bar a notch. The folks at Pictobooks gave us a huge hand with that by custom designing a stylish hardcover case to house the iPad 2. This is a beautiful example of fine craftsmanship, the exterior is hand tailored genuine leather and the core is constructed from walnut. They even molded the case to easily access all the buttons and ports including an opening for the camera. These cases can be individually personalized offering each couple a unique way to enjoy their wedding images. It is a perfect complement to a traditional album or as a stand alone piece.
Last week Glenn and I photographed a quick mid-week E-Session with Jen and Steve. They will be getting married this July at the Immaculate Conception Chapel on the campus of Seton Hall University followed by a reception at The Brooklake Country Club. It’s gonna be a crazy Irish wedding – can’t wait.
