Love Is All You Need

Once again Glenn and I had the pleasure of photographing the Children’s Aid and Family Services annual spring gala. This year’s theme was “Love is All You Need”. Children’s Aid and Family Services is one of northern New Jersey’s leading nonprofit providers of human services and child welfare programs. The mission of Children’s Aid and Family Services is to preserve, protect, and when needed, provide families. This year’s honorees, Dr. Anne Armstrong-Coben and Doris Hansmann, along with 450 guests enjoyed the wonderful meal and stunning ambiance that was provided by The Venetian in Garfield, New Jersey. The Real Housewives of New Jersey, along with Ridgewood resident Harlan Coben and Saddle River residents Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark, were in attendance to help support the cause. World class entertainment by Caledon (the Scottish Tenors), a silent and live auction with one-of-a-kind items, and a grand prize drawing of the “Love” emerald necklace, created by Arthur Groom & Co. especially for the gala were all part of the evening’s festivities that helped raise funds for this wonderful cause.

A Big Welcome to Our Newest Fan

If you’ve been following our blog for awhile, you might recall that in September 2009 Glenn and I photographed the fantastic beach wedding of Meghan and Jeff. Well just a few weeks ago Brynn Olivia came into this world. She arrived a few weeks early, she just couldn’t wait to meet her mom and dad. We are so thrilled to be photographing this couple again, now as a beautiful family. Congratulations guys!

Tim & Glenn Featured on the Wedding Podcast Network

Recently, members of the New Jersey Association of Bridal Consultants teamed up to put together a dream wedding for a bride who is battling breast cancer. Robert Allen of the Wedding Podcast Network, invited Tim and Glenn to speak about this memorable wedding on a “Meet the Masters” podcast. NJ-ABC State Coordinator Candice Benson, NJ-ABC Media Chair Rhonda Bassat-Rivera, and celebrant Julie Laudicina also took part in the recording. Michelle + Dennis: Il Villagio

Michelle and Dennis are the type of couple that we just love to work with, easy going and fun loving. They had a beautiful ceremony at Our Lady of Pity Church in Staten Island, NY followed by formal portrait session at Lambert’s Castle in historic Paterson and then a fantastic reception at Il Villagio. Michelle and Dennis have their softer side as well and their ceremony program says it best…”If I have to choose between loving you and breathing, I would use my last breath to say I love you”.

Oh, did I mention that they are ridiculously huge eagles fans!

Waldwick H.S. Fashion Show at Seasons in Washington Twp

Waldwick H.S. seniors participated in a fashion show and tricky tray to raise money for their upcoming Grad Ball in June.  Glenn was there to photograph the action where his daughter Melanie took her turn on the catwalk.  The event took place at Seasons Catering in Washington Township and proved to be a fun, successful evening for the kids and many of the parents who took part.  This year's seniors got to model clothing and accessories from Biltmore Tuxedos, Campmor, Annie Sez, Davids Bridal and others.  The music was provided by In the Mix Entertainment.

Mob of Photographers Descend on NYC’s Meat Packing District

Nearly 100 photographers from all over the tri-state area converged in New York
City's Meat Packing District for the first
2010. Photog Shootout is the brainchild of Rob Nicholson
. His idea was to give photographers of varying experience levels an opportunity to gather, network, and exchange ideas. He is beginning to create a real community with events scheduled all across the country. I have met some very talented photographers and made some good friends at the two Shootouts that I have attended. A big thanks go out to Rob and William Chang who helped organize the NY event.
